Strong Edge is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information through requested permissions for these core features: wallpaper customization, ringtone management, live wallpapers, and weather services. We do not collect unnecessary personal data.

2. Permissions and Their Purposes

A. Sensitive Permissions (Requested Explicitly)

Media Storage Access

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Purpose: To let you select and set and save ringtones and set/download wallpapers, live wallpaper.

Important: We never access personal files (photos, videos, audios, music, documents) or upload your media.

Location Access

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Purpose: Exclusively for weather features to provide local forecasts.

How it works: Location is only used when you enable weather functions.

System Settings Access

WRITE_SETTINGS

Purpose: To allow you to set custom ringtones, notification sounds, and alarm tones through our app.

How it works: This permission is only used when you explicitly choose to set a ringtone, notification sound, or alarm tone. We never modify any other system settings without your consent.

Important: This permission requires manual grant through system settings on Android 6.0+ devices.

Quick Tools Access (ToolEdgeView)

CAMERA, BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE, ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY

Purpose: To provide quick access to system functions like flashlight, Bluetooth toggle, WiFi toggle, and sound mode control.

How it works: These permissions enable the edge tools feature that allows you to quickly:

• Flashlight: Uses camera flash for emergency lighting
• Bluetooth: Toggle Bluetooth on/off for device connectivity
• WiFi: Toggle WiFi on/off for internet connectivity
• Sound Mode: Switch between normal, vibrate, and silent modes

Important: These permissions are only used when you actively use the edge tools. We never access camera for photos/videos or collect any data from these functions.

Sync Settings Access

WRITE_SYNC_SETTINGS

Purpose: Allows the app to control the system's auto-sync settings (such as account data sync). Only used when you actively use sync-related features. No sync data is collected or uploaded.

Vibration Access

VIBRATE

Purpose: Provides vibration feedback for UI interactions (such as button presses or operation hints). No personal information is collected.

Alarm Access

com.android.alarm.permission.SET_ALARM

Purpose: Allows the app to set system alarms or reminders, only when you actively set them. No alarm information is collected or uploaded.

People Edge Access

READ_CONTACTS, CALL_PHONE

Purpose:

• READ_CONTACTS: Allows the app to display your selected contacts in the People Edge feature, so you can quickly access and interact with your favorite contacts.
• CALL_PHONE: Allows you to directly initiate phone calls to your contacts from the People Edge panel.

How it works:

• Contacts are only accessed locally on your device to display names and phone numbers in the People Edge panel.
• No contact data is uploaded, stored, or shared.
• Phone calls are only initiated when you tap a contact to call; the app does not make calls automatically.

Important:

• These permissions are only used when you use the People Edge feature.
• The app never uploads, shares, or stores your contacts or call history.

Splanner Edge Access

READ_CALENDAR, WRITE_CALENDAR

Purpose:

• READ_CALENDAR: Allows the app to read your calendar events to display upcoming events in the Splanner Edge feature, helping you stay organized.
• WRITE_CALENDAR: Allows the app to add or modify calendar events when you create or edit events from the Splanner Edge panel.

How it works:

• Calendar data is only accessed locally on your device to display and manage your events in the Splanner Edge panel.
• No calendar data is uploaded, stored, or shared externally.
• Events are only added or modified when you explicitly use the Splanner Edge feature to do so.

Important:

• These permissions are only used when you use the Splanner Edge feature.
• The app never uploads, shares, or stores your calendar data outside your device.

B. Standard Permissions

Network & Connectivity

INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE

Purpose: To download wallpapers/ringtones/themes, sync weather data, and manage internet connectivity.

Core Launcher Functions

INSTALL_SHORTCUT, SET_WALLPAPER, SET_WALLPAPER_HINTS

Purpose: To install app shortcuts, set wallpapers, and adjust wallpaper display settings.

Billing

com.android.vending.BILLING

Purpose: To process in-app purchases (e.g., premium wallpapers) via Google Play.

3. Data Collection and Usage

We Do NOT Collect:

• Personal data such as contacts, messages, emails

What We Access:

• Media files only when you explicitly choose a ringtone or wallpaper which downloaded from our server
• Location coordinates only during active weather feature use
• System settings only when you explicitly set ringtones, notification sounds, or alarm tones
• Quick tools functions (flashlight, Bluetooth, WiFi, sound mode) only when you actively use the edge tools feature

Third-Party Services:

• Weather providers receive location data temporarily for forecasts
• Google Play handles all payments; we never access financial details

4. User Control

You can:

1. Revoke permissions anytime in Device Settings > Apps > 3D Launcher
2. Disable location access for weather in the app's settings
3. Clear app data/cache to remove preferences
4. Revoke system settings access in Device Settings > Apps > 3D Launcher > Permissions

5. Security Measures

• Media files are processed locally on your device
• Location data is sent via encrypted connections
• System settings are only modified for ringtone/notification/alarm purposes when you explicitly request it
• Quick tools functions are executed locally and we never collect or transmit any data from these operations
• We never sell, share, or retain personal data beyond core functionality

6. Children's Privacy

Our app does not target users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Policy Updates

Changes will be reflected in the app and on our website. Continued use implies acceptance.
